24 Sports Media pulled up to Houston, Texas, for one of the premier youth football showcases in the country the UA Next Camp.
The invitation only event brought together more than 2,000 athletes, including some of the nation’s top youth football players preparing to make the jump to the high school level. With elite talent arriving from across the country, Houston provided the perfect stage to see how Arizona’s rising prospects stacked up against national competition.
And Arizona did not disappoint.
Arizona Talent Takes the National Stage
Several athletes from across Arizona made the trip to Houston to compete and showcase their abilities against some of the best young players in the country.
Throughout the event, 24 Sports Media had the opportunity to speak with several top prospects from Arizona and across the nation, giving us an inside look at the next generation of football talent.
The camp wasn’t just about names and rankings. Athletes had to perform.
Players were tested in the 40-yard dash, shuttle, vertical jump and other athletic measurements before taking the field for extensive one-on-one competition.
Wide receivers battled defensive backs. Offensive linemen went head-to-head with defensive linemen. Every rep gave athletes another opportunity to separate themselves from the competition.
How Does Arizona Stack Up?
That’s what 24 Sports Media wanted to see.
Arizona football continues to grow, but national events like UA Next provide an opportunity to measure the state’s athletes against talent coming from traditional football hotbeds across the country.
The results were encouraging.
Arizona’s athletes competed, showed confidence and proved they belonged on the same field with some of the nation’s premier young prospects.
Arizona continues to establish itself as one of the country’s top up and coming football states, with more athletes gaining national exposure and competing at elite events outside the state.
UA Next Coming to Arizona in 2027
The excitement doesn’t stop in Houston.
UA Next is scheduled to make its way to Arizona in 2027, giving even more athletes from the state an opportunity to showcase their talent on a national platform without having to travel across the country.
For Arizona football, that’s another sign of how quickly the state’s reputation is growing.
Houston gave us a glimpse of what’s coming next.
Arizona showed up. Arizona competed. And Arizona proved once again that the rest of the country needs to pay attention.
